“protected from death” #rampart

“many have a bleak assessment of death…but death doesn’t have to be an occasion for despair but for joy.”

It was a special weekend at fresh life as we worshiped together and learned from God’s word that as Paul’s strength was rooted in the joy of the Lord, it permeated his outlook on life and death.

“To live is Christ, to die is gain.”

One of my favorite points was the last one:

“It is an incredible honor to be trusted with pain.”

My husband said, “God gives His toughest assignments to His strongest soldiers.” And this gives such strength and confidence for us who are in the deep trenches of life. To know that God has graced us with suffering and to truly count it an honor to suffer like Jesus did, wow! What a perspective shift. This truth can change the way we suffer and I’m blown away by this and how good God is.

And as my husband also preached:  let’s let the Gospel ring out from every area of our lives this week!

So much love to you!

What a great reminder of God’s unfailing love. It is hard to think of or remember that All things are for God’s good when you feel like you are trapped in the middle of a pool of pain.
