“baby on board” #sixships
I love the story of Moses! I read it to the girls all the time, and it just never gets old. I LOVED this sermon. My husband always has a way of bringing a rich, fresh perspective as he opens God’s Word, and I’m in awe of God’s hand on my husband’s life. He said something at the beginning of the message that reminded me of him:
“When God’s hand is on your life – now matter how hard things get – you can continue to grow.”
One of my favorite truths in this is that Moses points us to Jesus.
“The law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
My favorite point of the message:
“Let your deliverance define you, not your dysfunction.”
My husband preached how Moses’ life wasn’t defined by his dysfunctional family, but by his deliverance, as his name means “drawn out of the water.” What a beautiful truth. We don’t need to let our trials define our lives, but let God’s deliverance define us. Just as Moses was drawn out, we are called out. God has called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light!
Lord, thank You for calling us out and drawing us into You, keep us in a place of thankfulness for Your deliverance and may Your praises always be on our lips, guiding our lives.
