Ten years. It’s crazy how time flies by, and at the same time scoots by like an inch worm. Ten years married to Levi Aaron Lusko has flown, but it also feels like I’ve already spent a whole lifetime with him.
This adventure that God has brought us along is more than I could have ever even asked for or imagined. Isn’t that just how God works? In ways that exceed our wildest dreams?
Since high school, I had always wanted to marry a pastor and I had always wanted to be a missionary. And I am in awe at how God brought me to the man that He did, a man with such intense passion and love and with the gift of evangelism and preaching and teaching the Word of God. We are missionaries in Montana, and we are risking the ocean and giving this life all we’ve got until we die or until Jesus comes back for us!
While dreams have come true over and over again, even in our worst nightmare God has held us, and brought us closer in a depth we’d never know had we not walked through these waters (as much as I wish we could know this depth of intimacy without the pain). I’m so thankful to God that we have Jesus as the center of our relationship, because abiding in Jesus is the only place to be, and without Him we can do nothing.
It’s an incredible honor and joy to get to be by Levi’s side – to serve God together, to raise these beauty girls together, to walk in grief for the rest of our days together, to laugh and to be weird together, to reach people stranded in sin find life and liberty in Christ…together.
I respect you greatly and love you deeply Levi Aaron Lusko. You are my hero, my best friend, and the things God has shown me and taught me through you amaze me all the time. Thank you for patiently loving me, and thank you for leading me, and thank you for always always making me laugh.
Let’s keep doing this, in His strength, by His grace….together. It’s so much better together.
“I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it that men should fear before Him.” Ecclesiastes 3:14
