fresh life groups!
People often say, “I like fresh life, but it’s hard to feel connected on the weekend.”
And to that our reply is always this question:
“Are you in a fresh life group?”
Because the reality is, if someone only comes on the weekend, they are only getting half of the fresh life experience and only getting a portion of the potential growth and change and maturity that God has for them!
And we also hear this, “well, I was in a group, or I am in a group, but it’s just not for me, and it’s hard to get to know people.”
Well, here is a two-fold answer:
“If you really don’t like your group, there is the option of switching, but before you do, I would encourage you to ask God to change your view of your group. Because like my husband always says, what you put into something is what you’ll get out of it. If you’re willing to put yourself out there, let yourself be a little uncomfortable for a bit, it’ll be worth it. Instead of bolting for the quickest exit, perhaps wait. See yourself as one who can pour into the people around you. See yourself as receiving from the people around you. Maybe God brought you to that group for a very specific reason – for you, or for someone else – and to leave now would be missing out on that opportunity.
I loved this tweet from a staff wife:
“It’s an amazing thing when strangers become friends and then friends become family. #freshlifegroups” @JenniFlaherty
I love this part of fresh life, and I hope everyone who is a part of this House would take the step and get into a group, and also step out and serve on a team! Get this rally and rhythm going for you and your family!
